LOCATION AND DEMOGRAPHICS

 Location

My rehabilitation centre will be located in Western part of Ukraine, Zakarpattia Oblast, Mizhiria. This territory currently safest in all Ukraine. I decided to locate my project in this area because in there is a large amount of sanatoriums as a result of nature in that area.

Rehabilitation centre will be located in a fairly and quite place where visitors can enjoy Karpatian nature which mountains, rivers, clean and fresh air. Around this location placed many sanatoriums which makes this place perfect for this types of buildings. Also, around this location placed the river and park, so visitors can walk around this areas. Close to this location many sanatoriums and restaurants, but mostly private lands.

Demographic

Main aim of my project to rehabilitate Ukrainian soldiers and their families which suffered during war. According to statistsa, 2024, Ukraine has a 900 000 active solders and 1 200 000 soldiers as reserve forces. To compare Ukraine army in 2021,  a year before the beginning of full scale war, Ukraine had 261 000 troops. After 2022, we can see increase in the number of people in the army, which indicates that The Vidnovlennya Centre will be quite relevant project.
The average age of solder in Ukraine is 30-35 years old, according to some sources even more and can reach 40 years old, but the age of solder range 25-59 years old. Also, after 2022, the number of population who go to war as volunteers increased noticeably, and their are in range of 18-59 years old, but mostly it is young population in age group of 18-30.

  1. Demographics - you could look at who volunteered for the army. Able bodied men and women between age of 25 - 60. This might include:
    medical staff
Civilians - caught up in the fighting

Wide age in demographics due to the extraordinary circumstances.

You could look at the demographic of the army in peace time.
